About us:
We are the nursing honor society for MedcenterOne College of Nursing and The University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. Our involvement in Sigma Theta Tau International began in 1989, and the two colleges joined forces on May 16, 2004 to form the chapter Kappa Upsilon-at-Large. Membership in Sigma Theta Tau is by invitation only, and is offered to baccalaureate, graduate, and community nurse leaders who have demonstrated excellence and scholarship in the field of nursing.
The Mission of Sigma Theta Tau International:
"The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International provides leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research to enhance the health of all people. -Inspired by the Walk ND program, Kappa Upsilon-at-Large is embarking on an initiative to increase our daily exercise and to raise awareness about our organization.
